Lynx Purchasing asked the fabl to help tell the world about their ethical and sustainable approach to business.

So we came up with a refreshing idea.

Everyone knows the extent of plastic packaging and unnecessary waste. Go in any coffee chain and you will see countless single-use paper cups. Unfortunately, not everything that claims to be recyclable – is in fact recyclable.

In the UK, we use 7 million disposable coffee cups every day – that’s 2.5 billion every year. It’s estimated that over 2 trillion single-use ‘paper’ cups have ended up in landfill.

Un-recycled plastic takes hundreds of years to break down, which impacts the environment.

But a brilliant solution can be found in a grain of rice. Or, more specifically, the hard outer husk surrounding it. These cups are made from rice husks and can last for years.

Completely recyclable, they even fertilise the soil when they’re buried.

We branded the cups and the sleeve carries the message, ‘It’s easy being green with Lynx Purchasing’. Inside the cup, printed on recycled paper is a short message which explains how Lynx help their customers operate ethically. (see below)

Sometimes, the simplest solutions can be the most effective.
