Intercontinental Brands (ICB), is a speciality drinks manufacturer.
They develop and produce a wide range of spirits and liqueurs to keep up with consumer and industry trends.
The summer aperitif cocktail spritz sector has recently seen a huge surge in popularity, as a largely millennial target audience seek out a colourful Instagrammable drink. The trend for such drinks also reflects a considerable increase in demand for lower alcohol choices across the UK.
ICB noted the surge in popularity of the summer spritz cocktail and came to us to develop a brand which built upon a clear Italian design heritage. The branding needed to appeal to the millennial market as well as a wider demographic. It had to have the immediate shelf appeal the Big Four supermarkets insist upon, as well as successfully holding its own across social media.
We needed to use Storygelling – our tried and tested way to find their story and make it stick.
Our Design Team immersed themselves in The Amalfi Coast.
In particular, the church of San Gennaro Vescovo e Martire in Praiano. The striking, unique majolica tiles on the dome provided the sun-drenched inspiration for the basis of the design.
This, along with a beautifully integrated font, delivered the visually striking branding and brand story that ICB wanted.
